My wife and I first visited Truth Be Told before it officially opened in 2025, and I was immediately impressed by the meticulous attention to detail. From the moment I walked through the door, I had a strong sense that this would eventually become a Michelin-worthy or James Beard-caliber establishment. We finally returned a few weeks ago for a date night, and the experience exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, every detail was executed with precision. Glassware and plates were spotless. Silverware was thoughtfully changed between courses at exactly the right moments. Beverage service was remarkably attentive, anticipating our needs before we ever had to ask. The cuisine was true culinary artistry. Each plate was beautifully presented and delivered a level of refinement rarely found in this area. One of the most fun and unique dining experiences we’ve had! Wonderful surprises, delicious courses, superb wine pairing, and the service…Impeccable! Jonathan Yu has hit it out of the park by bringing his creativity to Downtown Roswell. His staff is a delight and the ambience is cool and inviting. They made our evening memorable and we’ll definitely be back for more!

I would consider Truth be Told to be one of the best tasting menus in Metro Atlanta. The food quality, presentation, and service all exceeded my expectations. I personally think the current price point for the tasting menu is an exceptional value based on our overall dinner. Our experience consisted of the following: An enjoyable starter to brighten up your taste buds, followed by a playful Amuse bouche, bread service, your first course, trifecta of vegetables each thoughtfully prepared to be served with your second course selection, and then desert and a surprise. As a massive plus, It legitimately had some of the best gluten-free bread We have ever been served across the United States. That’s no exaggeration. We also were able to enjoy their two mocktails, and expresso martini. I thought they were very good mocktails. There wasn’t a single time where we were out of water. The staff checked on us constantly. The owner also checked on us. We felt very taken care of. It seemed like everyone genuinely was very receptive of any feedback to further improve future experiences. We were here for our christmas eve dinner. They only served pre-fixe menu on this day, and the menu seemed slightly different from their regular pre-fixe dishes. I was expecting more of a creative dish, but IMO it was traditional christmas food. The portion was big, and we liked the food. I would have liked a more refined plating, but I was happy with my meal overall. I like the vibe of the restaurant, however, the table I was sat was super cold. There was an a/c vent right behind my legs, and my legs were freezing cold!

Woohoo! A chef-driven tasting menu has finally landed OTP. Truth Be Told delivers 7 playful courses at a refreshingly reasonable price point in downtown Roswell, paired with excellent service (s/o to Jose!). Highlights? The bread-and-butter course was a standout (my personal weakness), the baby veggies were surprisingly delightful, and the trio of amuse bouches set the tone beautifully. The goat cheese terrine was tasty, though it begged for a bit more texture to balance all that richness. The exquisitely plated fish was just a touch overcooked, but still solid overall, while my husband thoroughly enjoyed both the beef tongue & tri-tip. Honorable mentions go to the pickled squash, parsnip puree, & strawberry dessert. Where things fell short for us was the cocktail program - casual drinkers may enjoy them, but as fans of spirit-forward, complex, balanced pours, we found the three we tried a touch too sweet. All in all, it’s a fantastic date-night spot, and we’re already looking forward to coming back in the fall to soak up the patio vibes!
